South Haven was designated a Pure Michigan Trail Town in the Spring of 2019 by the Michigan DNR and Travel Michigan. We are very proud that our combined community spirit to develop, promote, and protect our beautiful land and water based trail assets was recognized, and invite you to explore our natural attractions in our inaugural Trail Town Challenge!

Going All In on the Great Outdoors

The South Haven Pure Michigan Trail Town Challenge is your opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of one of Michigan's most picturesque towns! As a participant, your mission is simple: visit and check in at each of the designated locations around South Haven. These spots have been carefully chosen to showcase the town's unique charm, natural beauty, and rich history.

Compete the Challenge by Oct. 31 for a Reward!

As you journey through South Haven, use our special check-in system to mark your progress. This will keep track of the places you've visited and brings you closer to a special reward: a commemorative South Haven Pure Michigan Trail Town Hat! After completing the challenge, visit the friendly staff at the South Haven Visitors Bureau to claim your prize. Not only will you be looking sharp in a limited edition hat, but we hope you'll make lasting memories and discover more to love about South Haven!
